Hi, my name is Aaron Fairchild. I just graduated from Sharon High School, and next year I will be a freshman at The University of Pittsburgh. There I will major in biology although I'm not sure if it will be micro or molecular biology, and eventually begin medical research.
In high school my favorite activity was Sailing. I was on the varsity team for 4 years and competed at 1 national level competition. In addition to sailing I also play the violin and was a member of the chess team and the Academic Decathlon team. My favorite subjects in school were always sciences, although my favorite class was the biotechnology course taught by Jim. The hands on learning of all the labs was something I really enjoyed and I look forward to being able to continue performing the labs over the summer.
I love being outdoors and going rock climbing and kayaking in addition to sailing. I also study martial arts.
I'm very excited for this summer and can't wait to meet you all.
